PENGUATAN IDENTITAS KULTURAL MELALUI PENDIDIKAN ORANG DEWASA: TELAAH FILOSOFIS ATAS PRAKTIK ETNO-ANDRAGOGI

Abstract

Pendidikan orang dewasa berperan penting dalam memperkuat identitas kultural, terutama di tengah arus globalisasi yang mengancam nilai-nilai lokal. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pendidikan orang dewasa sebagai ruang transformatif melalui pembelajaran adat di komunitas seni tradisional Kuda Kepang. Studi dilakukan pada Sanggar Samudra Jaya di Bengkulu Utara dengan pendekatan kualitatif etnografi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran berlangsung secara organik dan reflektif, melibatkan pengalaman langsung, keterlibatan emosional, serta pemaknaan simbolik dalam setiap aktivitas seni dan ritual. Proses ini sejalan dengan prinsip andragogi seperti pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman dan motivasi intrinsik, namun melampaui pendekatan konvensional dengan memasukkan dimensi spiritual dan identitas kolektif. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini mengembangkan kerangka etno-andragogi sebagai pendekatan filosofis dan pedagogis yang mengintegrasikan pembelajaran orang dewasa dengan epistemologi budaya lokal. Temuan ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan studi pendidikan nonformal berbasis komunitas serta menawarkan pendekatan alternatif yang kontekstual dan transformatif. Penelitian ini juga mendukung upaya dekolonisasi pendidikan dan pengakuan terhadap pembelajaran adat sebagai bentuk pengetahuan yang sah dalam memperkuat identitas kultural masyarakat.
