STRATEGI PENGELOLAAN ZAKAT DALAM MENANGGULANGI PEMURTADAN DI KABUPATEN GUNUNGKIDUL YOGYAKARTA

Abstract

Based on that case, researcher wants to know about zakah management by BAZNAS region of Gunungkidul. This research focussed on the efforts of zakah management optimization to face apostasy in Gunungkidul. This research uses qualitative method based on field research. So, techniques of data collection is done by triangulation techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. Analyses will be performed with a model Milles and Huberman, where the analysis is done interactively and continuously with three processes, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Based on the analysis, we concluded that the zakah is managed by BAZNAS region of Gunungkidul is still not optimal. It needs many corrections to  maximize the potential of zakat both in terms of institutional, collection and utilization. Utilization of zakat can be used to prevent  apostasy by optimizing the function of the mosque and boarding school as a bastion of power of the people. Secondly it is done to support the formation of coordination among the network of mosques, especially around the installation of non-Muslims. To that end, BAZNAS region of Gunungkidul required to support the creation of such conditions, by developing cooperation and synergy with the Islamic organizations and boarding school.
