Abstract

Employment problems arise due to inconsistent job search systems. Many residents are already feeling the impact of the increasing number of workers. By measuring the absorption rate of an area, it can be known how many workers have found work and are working. The purpose of this study is to describe and also analyze the impact of the human development index (HDI), gross domestic product (GRDP) and wages in East Java on the determination of the labor force in the 2018-2023 period. The research data collection techniques used are literature studies and data techniques using descriptive statistical methods. The results of this study show that a high HDI value will increase employment, besides that high wages also have a positive effect on labor activity, and if GDP continues to increase, it opens up opportunities for employment.
