The implementation of a construction project depends on the role of project implementers such as owners, contractors, and supervisors, which are greatly influenced by three main variables, namely Project Manager competency (including Performance Competency/X1 and Personal Competency/X2), Portfolio Manager competency (including Strategic Portfolio Management/X1 and Personal Competency/X2), and Program Manager competency (including Performance Competency/X1 and Personal Competency/X2), all of which are measured against the Project Success variable (Y). A common problem in project implementation is the inability of project implementers which can lead to failure, conversely the adequacy of project implementer competency can lead to project success. The PMCD and SKKNI guidebooks explain the competency factors of project implementation. The purpose of this study is to find important components of project implementation that have a direct impact on project success. This research method integrates and analyzes PMCD competency factors, SKKNI, and previous researchers using matrix analysis and frequency analysis to obtain significant factors. These important factors are proven through a pilot study questionnaire and then analyzed using SPSS to ensure significant factors. Furthermore, these factors were continued in the actual research questionnaire and then analyzed using PLS-SEM to determine what factors influenced the success of project implementation. The results of the analysis obtained 12 most influential factors, namely: Strategic Portfolio Management, Portfolio Management Governance, Portfolio Management Performance, Portfolio Management Communication, Portfolio Management Risk, Portfolio Management Stakeholders, Communication, Leadership, Management skill, Cognitive Ability, Effectiveness, and Professionalism. The findings in this study are expected to be an overview for construction implementers in achieving project success in the future.
