About the Journal
Mizan: Journal of Islamic Law (p-ISSN: 2598-974X, e-ISSN: 2598-6996) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access electronic journal dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of high-quality scholarly research in the field of Islamic legal studies. Published semi-annually in June and December, the journal is managed by the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Ibn Khaldun (UIKA) Bogor, Indonesia, in strategic and official partnership with APSI (Association of Islamic Indonesian Lawyers).
Mizan serves as a distinguished academic forum for scholars, researchers, legal practitioners, and policymakers worldwide to share contemporary insights, empirical studies, and critical analyses of Islamic jurisprudence. The journal primarily focuses on three interconnected pillars: Islamic Family Law (addressing contemporary marriage dynamics, inheritance, and gender issues), Syari’ah and Economic Law (exploring Islamic banking, halal industry legal frameworks, and modern muamalah contracts), and Islamic Legal Thought (analyzing Siyasah Shar'iyyah, historical jurisprudence, fatwa implementation, and the integration of Sharia within national and global legal systems).
