Abstract

Pondok Pesantren is a traditional educational institution in Indonesia that plays a major role in educating the nation's children. The primary objectives of this institution are to shape personality, foster character, strengthen morals, and equip students with knowledge. This study aims to analyze the needs, design, and test the feasibility of developing an Islamic character development module specifically designed for junior high school students in Islamic boarding schools. This study utilizes the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE approach model. The results of the needs analysis phase indicated that 100% of the boarding school managers stated that the development of an Islamic character development module for junior high school students is urgently required. Furthermore, the validation test results from Islamic education material experts, character education material experts, and linguists demonstrated that the developed module is highly feasible and effective for use as an instructional guide. This is evidenced by a score of 3.75 (95%) from the material experts and 3.50 (87%) from the linguists. In conclusion, all findings indicate that the Islamic character development module for junior high school students is excellent and highly feasible for implementation
