Pengaruh Metode Ummi Dan Pembiasaan Terhadap Kompetensi Membaca Al-Qur’an
Abstract
This study examines the effect of the Ummi method and habituation method on students’ Qur’anic reading competence at SD Islam El Akhyaar Citeureup and SDIT Arafah Depok. The study employed a quantitative causal survey design. The sample consisted of 100 students selected from a population of 474 students using simple random sampling. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares. The findings indicate that the Ummi method positively affects Qur’anic reading competence with a path coefficient of 0.232. The habituation method shows a stronger positive effect on Qur’anic reading competence with a coefficient of 0.519. The Ummi method also positively affects the habituation method with a coefficient of 0.863. The adjusted R Square for Qur’anic reading competence is 0.522, meaning that both variables explain 52.2 percent of its variance. These findings confirm that tartil reading instruction should integrate Ummi procedures, repetition, teacher supervision, and structured reading habits.
