Studi Perbandingan Debit Banjir di DAS Sungai Gambir (Rere Penembem)

This study aims to compare and evaluate the Probable Maximum Flood (PMF) discharge values in the Gambir River Basin (Rere Penembem), which is the location of the planned Bringe Dam in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. The QPMF value is crucial as a design standard for dam spillways to avoid dam break disasters. The study area covers 3,327 km², and the Probable Maximum Precipitation (PMP) analysis is based on BMKG rainfall data. The methods used were the Rational Method (peak discharge approach) and the HEC-HMS hydrological simulation model with the SCS Curve Number (CN) rainfall loss method, which produced a flow hydrograph. The calculation results showed that the peak discharge QPMF from the Rational Method was 209.336 m³/second. Meanwhile, the HEC-HMS Model produced a lower and more realistic peak discharge of 128.300 m³/sec. Comparison with the Creager Test (178.76 m³/sec) shows that the HEC-HMS results are closer to field conditions because they take into account hydrological dynamics, including water loss/infiltration. The study concludes that the QPMF discharge from the HEC-HMS model (128,300 m³/s) is recommended as the most reliable input value for further analysis of the Bringe Dam break.
