Abstract

In the execution of a construction project, the larger the project, the greater the problems that the construction services company will face. Therefore, construction service companies must have careful consideration in planning and executing a construction project. Construction service entrepreneurs always strive to realize their projects so that cost and time efficiency is achieved while still meeting quality standards. Innovations in the types and methods of formwork work continue to develop, which affect the cost, quality, and time of the work. One of the developing formwork methods that has begun to be widely used in Indonesia is aluminum formwork. Aluminum formwork, made of aluminum material with several stages in the fabrication process, has advantages compared to conventional and semi-system formwork, namely it does not produce waste material because it can be reused, does not require a lot of manpower, and requires less time to work due to the easy installation of formwork. From the cost calculations carried out on the construction of Columns, Beams, and Floor Slabs for the Morrissey Hotel Jakarta project, aluminum formwork is more expensive compared to conventional formwork, with conventional formwork costing Rp. 10,430,676,691.29 and aluminum formwork costing Rp. 11,532,891,670.00, with a cost difference of Rp. 1,102,214,978.7, making conventional formwork cheaper compared to aluminum formwork. It can be concluded that the use of conventional formwork materials is cheaper than aluminum formwork. Meanwhile, the working time for conventional formwork is 129 days, and for aluminum formwork, it is 68 days. From the calculation results of the duration of conventional and aluminum formwork work, there is a difference of 61 days, with aluminum formwork having a faster working time.
