Abstract

Infrastructure projects are developing to meet the needs of construction infrastructure for the Indonesian people. Therefore, during the construction phase, project managers and supervision consultants are involved in implementing the project. Project performance is always associated with the competence of project implementers, which has become a topic of discussion among experts, because project implementers greatly determine project performance. Project success and failure are closely related to the competence of project managers and supervision consultants. However, most infrastructure project performance issues are only associated with the competence of project managers, which is considered inappropriate because both work together in project implementation. Previous research has focused more on the influence of Project Manager competence, and little has examined the influence of Supervisory Expert competence. This study aims to determine the influence of Project Manager and Supervisory Expert competence on the performance of sustainable infrastructure projects in Indonesia. This research method uses quantitative and qualitative approaches. Competency literature was obtained from the PMCD framework, SKKNI, and previous research. Competency factors were analyzed using matrix and frequency methods. Questionnaires and interviews with a target of 50 Project Manager respondents and 50 Supervisory Expert respondents with more than 15 years of experience were determined by purposive sampling. Data analysis through several stages, namely the initial stage of checking the validity of data reliability with SPSS, the next stage is determining the competencies that have a significant effect using Smart PLS v. 4.0. The results of the analysis obtained a significant relationship between Project Manager Competence (X1) and Infrastructure Project Performance (Y) with a t-statistic value of 6.399, p-value of 0.000, there are 13 sub-competencies, and Supervisory Expert Competence (X2) has a significant effect on Infrastructure Project Performance (Y) with a t-statistic value of 3.796, p-value of 0.000, there are 7 sub-competencies. Both have a significant influence on Infrastructure Project Performance in Indonesia.
