Sustainable infrastructure has become a major focus in current development. This article aims to identify and analyze the presence of human factors from both individual and social psychology perspectives in sustainable infrastructure development. This study uses a grounded assessment with a mixed methods approach, utilizing qualitative and quantitative data to comprehensively examine the challenges of human factors in achieving sustainable infrastructure development goals. The results show that Civil Engineers play a crucial role in building sustainable infrastructure (Setiawan, 2022), including overseeing, managing, and coordinating various aspects of sustainable infrastructure projects. However, in practice, several issues remain related to the engineering mentality within intra- and inter-organizational stakeholders of sustainable infrastructure development projects. These issues can lead to conflict between stakeholders, technical errors, and project delays. Therefore, efforts are needed to address these issues. By addressing the engineering mentality issue, it is hoped that it will increase the success of sustainable infrastructure development projects. The conclusion obtained after conducting surveys, in-depth interviews and FGD, the most common problems encountered by civil engineers in sustainable infrastructure development projects are communication and creativity problems, so efforts need to be made to overcome these problems so that the mentality of civil engineers becomes stronger and the sustainable infrastructure development process becomes better.
