Abstract

The phenomenon of "Fear of Missing Out" among Muslim adolescents is growing globally, driven by the widespread use of digital media and influencing the psychological, spiritual, and social behavior of the younger generation in Indonesia. This situation calls for the urgent reconstruction of Islamic Religious Education (ISE) to respond to contemporary challenges by strengthening religious values, self-control, and digital literacy, oriented toward character building. This study aims to analyze the reconstruction of ISE in response to the "Fear of Missing Out" phenomenon among Muslim adolescents and identify its contribution to strengthening spiritual and social awareness. The study employed a qualitative approach with a literature review. Data were obtained from books, scientific articles, and relevant documents through documentation techniques. Data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was verified using source triangulation and diligent observation. The results indicate that the reconstruction of ISE can be realized through the integration of spiritual values, digital ethics, strengthening self-control, and contextually based reflective learning. This study has implications for the development of adaptive ISE theory and the strengthening of educational practices responsive to the digital dynamics of Muslim adolescents.

Abstrak

Fenomena Fear of Missing Out pada remaja Muslim berkembang secara global seiring masifnya penggunaan media digital dan turut memengaruhi kondisi psikologis, spiritual, serta perilaku sosial generasi muda di Indonesia. Situasi ini menimbulkan urgensi rekonstruksi Pendidikan Agama Islam agar mampu merespons tantangan kontemporer melalui penguatan nilai religius, pengendalian diri, dan literasi digital yang berorientasi pada pembentukan karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis rekonstruksi Pendidikan Agama Islam terhadap fenomena Fear of Missing Out remaja Muslim serta mengidentifikasi kontribusinya dalam penguatan kesadaran spiritual dan sosial. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi literatur. Data diperoleh dari buku, artikel ilmiah, dan dokumen relevan melalui teknik dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, sedangkan keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan ketekunan pengamatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rekonstruksi Pendidikan Agama Islam dapat diwujudkan melalui integrasi nilai spiritual, etika digital, penguatan kontrol diri, dan pembelajaran reflektif berbasis kontekstual. Kajian ini berimplikasi pada pengembangan teori Pendidikan Agama Islam adaptif serta penguatan praktik pendidikan yang responsif terhadap dinamika digital remaja Muslim.
