Abstract

Bullying is one of the issues that can disrupt students’ comfort and safety in elementary school settings. Students’ understanding of bullying needs to be instilled from an early age so that they can recognize, prevent, and respond to bullying behavior appropriately. This activity aims to describe the implementation of anti-bullying awareness programs for elementary school students, assess students’ responses during the activity, and explain the importance of anti-bullying education as a preventive measure to instill awareness of the dangers of bullying. The activity was carried out as part of a student work program at Tlogowungu Elementary School using a qualitative descriptive approach. The target participants were students in grades 1 through 6, divided into two sessions: lower grades and upper grades. The material covered included the definition of bullying, forms of bullying, examples of bullying behavior, the effects of bullying, and actions students can take when experiencing or witnessing bullying. The material was presented in a communicative and interactive manner using examples relevant to the students’ daily lives. Observations showed that the students were engaged in the activity and were able to understand various forms of bullying behavior, as well as the importance of mutual respect and empathy toward their peers. Anti-bullying awareness campaigns serve as a preventive measure to build student awareness and create a safe and comfortable school environment.
