Women entrepreneurship within entrepreneurial ecosystems has emerged as a rapidly growing field of scholarly inquiry, yet its intellectual and thematic landscape remains insufficiently mapped. This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of 94 documents from 64 sources indexed between 2016 and 2026, using Biblioshiny to examine research trends, intellectual structure, and emerging themes in this field. Addressing RQ1, findings reveal an annual growth rate of 31.1%, with the International Journal of Gender and Entrepreneurship as the most productive and influential source, and the United States as the leading contributing country with an international co-authorship rate of 38.3%. Addressing RQ2, the collaboration network remains fragmented across 11 small clusters, while keyword co-occurrence analysis identifies Entrepreneur, Gender, and Entrepreneurship as the most central terms, with Ecosystem and Entrepreneur emerging as motor themes in the thematic map. Addressing RQ3, trend topic analysis identifies Female entrepreneurship as the most rapidly developing topic projected to grow beyond 2026, with three key research gaps identified: the underdeveloped conceptual integration of gender within ecosystem frameworks, the limited maturity of female entrepreneurship literature, and the isolation of digital platform ecosystems from mainstream research. As a bibliometric review, this study maps the intellectual and thematic evolution of the field, identifies three research gaps requiring further conceptual development, and provides a foundation for future research on gender-responsive entrepreneurial ecosystems
