Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of learning communities in promoting educational digitalization through a deep learning approach at SMP Negeri 3 Rimba Melintang. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving the principal and teachers participating in the learning community. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by triangulation to ensure validity. The findings indicate that learning communities function as collaborative spaces that strengthen professional interaction through discussion, shared practices, and reflective activities. These processes contribute to the development of teachers’ digital competence in integrating technology into planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning. Teaching strategies shift toward student-centered practices characterized by structured learning, active student participation, and varied instructional methods. In addition, deep learning is reflected in activities that promote conceptual understanding, critical thinking, collaboration, problem solving, and student product creation. However, flexibility and independent learning still need strengthening. The study concludes that learning communities play a key role in integrating technology, professional collaboration, and deep learning practices to support sustainable educational transformation.

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran komunitas belajar dalam mendorong digitalisasi pendidikan melalui pendekatan pembelajaran mendalam di SMP Negeri 3 Rimba Melintang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan kepala sekolah dan guru yang tergabung dalam komunitas belajar. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan teknik triangulasi untuk menjaga keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunitas belajar berfungsi sebagai ruang kolaboratif yang memperkuat interaksi profesional melalui diskusi, berbagi praktik, dan refleksi pembelajaran. Komunitas belajar mendorong peningkatan kompetensi digital guru dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi pada perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Strategi pembelajaran berubah ke arah pembelajaran berbasis aktivitas peserta didik dengan struktur pembelajaran yang lebih sistematis, keterlibatan peserta didik yang aktif, dan variasi metode pembelajaran. Implementasi pembelajaran mendalam terlihat melalui aktivitas yang menekankan pemahaman konseptual, berpikir kritis, kolaborasi, pemecahan masalah, dan produksi karya. Namun, fleksibilitas dan kemandirian belajar masih perlu diperkuat. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa komunitas belajar berperan penting dalam mendukung transformasi pendidikan melalui integrasi teknologi dan pembelajaran mendalam.
