Islamic Religious Education, Reconstruction, Generational Moral Crisis, and the Disruption Era.Abstrak
The era of disruption has fundamentally changed the mechanisms of knowledge formation, values, and behavior of the younger generation thru the dominance of digital technology, social media, and Artificial Intelligence. These changes have given rise to a moral crisis characterized by a weakening of ethical awareness, an increase in moral relativism, and a shift in the authority of values from educational institutions to the digital space. This research aims to reconstruct the paradigm of Islamic Religious Education to be more adaptive in facing the dynamics of the digital society. The study was conducted thru a critical synthesis of various recent research and theories to identify development patterns, conceptual gaps, and the direction of the transformation of Islamic Religious Education. The research results indicate that the paradigm of Islamic Religious Education, which is still oriented toward the transmission of knowledge, is unable to address the complexities of moral challenges in the era of Artificial Intelligence. This research offers a model for reconstructing Islamic Religious Education that integrates Islamic epistemology, digital ethics, Artificial Intelligence literacy, transformative learning, and the principles of maqāṣid al-syarī'ah as the foundation for character formation. The model provides a theoretical contribution to the development of the paradigm of Islamic Religious Education while also serving as a conceptual foundation for curriculum innovation and educational policies that are responsive to the changes in the digital society.
