Abstrak

This study examines the internalization of moral values based on school culture in shaping students’ character at SDN 31 Dompu. The background of this research is grounded in the growing concern over moral degradation among students, which necessitates a systematic and sustainable approach through educational institutions. The objective of this study is to analyze how school culture contributes to the process of internalizing moral values and its impact on students’ character formation. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving teachers, students, and school stakeholders. The findings reveal that the internalization of moral values is effectively implemented through habitual activities, exemplary behavior of teachers, and the integration of moral values into daily school practices. School culture plays a significant role in reinforcing discipline, responsibility, respect, and religious attitudes among students. The study also finds that consistency and collaboration among school members are key factors in sustaining character development. The implications of this research highlight the importance of strengthening school culture as a strategic medium for moral education and character building in primary education.

Abstrak

Penelitian ini mengkaji internalisasi nilai-nilai moral berbasis budaya sekolah dalam membentuk karakter siswa di SDN 31 Dompu. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada meningkatnya kepedulian terhadap degradasi moral di kalangan siswa, yang memerlukan pendekatan yang sistematis dan berkelanjutan melalui lembaga pendidikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana budaya sekolah berkontribusi pada proses internalisasi nilai-nilai moral dan dampaknya terhadap pembentukan karakter siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan guru, siswa, dan pemangku kepentingan sekolah. Temuan tersebut mengungkapkan bahwa internalisasi nilai-nilai moral diimplementasikan secara efektif melalui kegiatan kebiasaan, perilaku teladan guru, dan integrasi nilai-nilai moral ke dalam praktik sekolah sehari-hari. Budaya sekolah berperan penting dalam memperkuat disiplin, tanggung jawab, rasa hormat, dan sikap religius di kalangan siswa. Studi ini juga menemukan bahwa konsistensi dan kolaborasi antar anggota sekolah merupakan faktor kunci dalam mempertahankan pengembangan karakter. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya penguatan budaya sekolah sebagai media strategis pendidikan moral dan pembentukan karakter dalam pendidikan dasar.
