Post-Publication Discussion
In accordance with the core practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and relevant scholarly publishing guidelines, Tawazun: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam encourages constructive post-publication discussion and transparent corrections to maintain the accuracy, credibility, and integrity of the scholarly record. The journal applies the following policy:
1. Post-Publication Comments
Readers, authors, and other members of the academic community are encouraged to provide constructive comments, questions, and critical feedback on articles published in Tawazun: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam. Such discussions should be conducted professionally, respectfully, and based on scholarly evidence. Comments or concerns may be submitted to the Editorial Team through the journal's designated communication channels for consideration and appropriate follow-up.
2. Corrections
If errors are identified in a published article that affect its accuracy, interpretation, or understanding, the journal will assess the issue and determine whether a correction is necessary. Corrections will be published transparently, clearly identifying the changes made and explaining the reasons for them. The correction notice will be linked to the original article to ensure that readers can identify and understand the amendments.
3. Retractions
A published article may be retracted if substantial errors undermine the validity or reliability of its findings, or if evidence of serious publication or research misconduct is established. Retractions will be handled in accordance with applicable COPE guidelines and the journal's editorial procedures. A retraction notice will clearly explain the reasons for the retraction and be linked to the original article to preserve transparency and protect the integrity of the scholarly record.
4. Expressions of Concern
If credible concerns arise regarding the reliability, ethical compliance, or integrity of a published article, but the available evidence is insufficient to reach a definitive conclusion, Tawazun: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam may issue an Expression of Concern. This notice informs readers of the unresolved issues while further assessment or investigation is undertaken. Once additional information becomes available, the Editorial Team will determine whether further action, including correction or retraction, is warranted.
Through this policy, Tawazun: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam seeks to promote academic accountability, transparency, and constructive scholarly dialogue while safeguarding the quality and integrity of research in Islamic education.
